A coalition of people on a mission to build a regenerative future, together

Our gatherings are designed to strengthen the relational tissue between common goods, climate action, artists, facilitators and care takers.
why regens unite?

We need systemic change, not climate change!

We are in the midst of an ecological and social crisis. Climatological imbalance is causing floods, wildfires, and pandemics. Global outcry and growing pressure is causing burnout, layered with toxic politics and polarised conversations through social media.

Sustaining the status quo is no longer a viable strategy. Instead, it’s time to embrace regenerative solutions which renew resources, build capacity, and resilience in the face of increasing uncertainty and shocks.
our values

The key ingredients of a Regens Unite event

Whether it’s about budget, curation or event design, we keep these ingredients in mind for every gathering. Every decision of every team is looked at through these lenses to ensure we’re focused on creating regenerative events in every aspect.

We (re)connect

As humans, we are a part of nature. We are connected with our environment, with our bodies and with each other. We are aware of the environmental impact of our actions and act consciously.

We all contribute

Participants and organisers are all considered equal members and contributors to the event and the Regens Unite commons. All voices are equally important in the conversation and we share responsibility to hold a regenerative space.

We regen

We leave the event feeling rejuvenated and we leave the venue and location in a better state after being there. We support local producers, source what we need from the local economy, and ensure that we utilize the budget with a focus on minimalism and usefulness.

We embrace diversity

We invite people from a wide variety of regen backgrounds. We make the event accessible for everyone to come, including locals, parents and people who need to travel and take time off to participate. The attendee list and schedule are curated to ensure balance, diversity, and space for underrepresented voices.

We cross-pollinate

The focus of this event is to bring humans from various regenerative backgrounds & perspectives together for intimate, thought-provoking exchanges as well as rejuvenating experiences. We create a safe and curious atmosphere through nurturing the relational fabric and community-wide rituals. From this connection, we can bravely explore new ways to regenerate and meet each other beyond labels and biases.

Our trajectory

Our story starts in Brussels, May 2022

March / April 2022
Regens Unite was conceived by Leen and Xavier, who co-founded a grassroots community space in Brussels called Citizen Corner. They had a burning desire to connect projects and people who were working in radically different sectors, but with a shared goal of building regenerative solutions for themselves, their community, and the environment.
May 2022
Regens Unite was conceived by Leen and Xavier, who co-founded a grassroots community space in Brussels called Citizen Corner. They had a burning desire to connect projects and people who were working in radically different sectors, but with a shared goal of building regenerative solutions for themselves, their community, and the environment.
June 2016
The event has ripple effects!! A small core team is formed and is energized by what was achieved. They decide to create a DAO focused on building spaces for learning and cross-pollination to happen.
August 2017
After collectively failing a number of business ventures, Dan and Adam finally have their first break. Together they build Lumio with a team of 7 other legends.

Lumio, previously called Foenix, was a social media analytics company that helped brands like Audi, David Jones and Red Balloon source legitimate influencers for social media campaigns.

“We were essentially the Instagram police and called out fake influencers left, right and centre. It was fun and all, but there is only so many bikini chicks you can look at on Instagram before you start losing your mind.”

Dan, Co-founder and CEO of Lumio

April 2018
Lumio gets acquired by German company, Influencer DB. Yeww! 🎉

“After this, we both took up golf on during the week and started eating fancy dinners at the local Country Club... Ha. This is not what happened at all. We suck at golf and love eating Guzman Y Gomez.”

Adam, Co-founder of Lumio

June 2018
Dan is shipped off to work with ze Germans as Head of Product at Influencer DB.

Adam decides to stay in Sydney and cut his teeth as a Product Designer with one of Sydney's leading design studios.

Whilst in Germany, Dan worked with with brands such as Daniel Wellington and BMW - Ja!

Adam worked with clients like Vodafone, TAFE NSW, Adobe and also won the 'Good Design Australia' award for his work on the Seatfrog website.

November 2019
After spending time apart, Dan and Adam begin to plan their next moves and rekindle their business partnership.

The name "Relume" is born.

January 2020
Dan moves back to Sydney to join a Global startup incubator called Antler. He convinces Adam to join him.
April 2020
🚀 relume launches
For various reasons, Dan and Adam decide to turn down a $100,000 investment from Antler and start their own business venture, without taking outside investment.

To do this they would have to build a company that would be profitable in its first year. Not the next Uber of *insert clever idea*.

June 2020
After building 11 websites on Webflow in under 6 weeks as a way to test a number of business ideas, Dan and Adam decide to stick to what they know best and launch Relume - a company that designs and builds beautiful Webflow websites.

“Relume was an opportunity for us to build a profitable business, not a startup that bleeds cash, whilst doing what we love to do. It also allows us to learn about all types of businesses and the problems they deal with. These are all opportunities that we could potentially solve for in the future. For now, our goal is simple, we want to build a kickass business which means we really want our customers and the Webflow community to succeed too.”

Dan, Co-founder of Relume

Funded by the community, for the community

Regens Unite is a commons and a community that rejects the "growth at all costs” mindset, making it a brave but still vulnerable initiative. To become a resilient movement it needs your support.

Regens Unite is for everyone inspired and aligned to regenerate. After it's inception on May 2022 in Brussels, it turned into a community and DAO which now runs as a commons. Subscribe to our newsletter to stay up to date on what this community is building.
