Three ways we gather

See how it's been done

Since 2022 our gatherings have taken three shapes: our own from end to end, a curated week with multiple programming partners, and a space inside someone else's conference. Each asks something different of an organiser.

The full principles
  1. Stand-alone

    Regens Unite

A gathering with its own venue, its own programme and its own few days, shaped from the ground up. It asks the most of an organiser, and gives the most freedom in return.

  2. Around a conference

    Regen Village

Various partners pay per day to run their own programming in the same venue, while the organizers curate a cohesive week and manage all the logistics in between. This model helped Regens Unite kickstart a community space in Brussels.

  3. Inside a conference

    Regen Hub

A regenerative space inside a conference that is already happening, designed together with its organisers. The venue and the audience are there already, so the work goes into the programme rather than the logistics.

The key ingredients of a Regens Unite event

From day one, each decision is looked at through these lenses to ensure we're creating regenerative events in every aspect.

  1. We reconnect

As humans, we are a part of nature, connected with our environment, with our bodies and with each other. At the event we are reminded of that, and we act consciously.

  2. We all contribute

Participants and organisers are all equal members and contributors to the event and to the Regens Unite commons. All voices are equally important. We are all crew.

  3. We regenerate

We all leave feeling fresh and rejuvenated, and the venue in a better state than we found it. We spend on the local economy and prioritize paying people over decoration.

  4. We embrace diversity

We invite people from a wide variety of regen backgrounds, and keep the event open to locals, parents and those who travel. We curate for voices usually unheard.

  5. We cross-pollinate

We bring humans from various regenerative backgrounds together for intimate, thought-provoking exchanges, and find new ways to regenerate beyond labels and biases.
